The 'Planet 9 Wide’ surfboard is designed for lower level intermediates through to advanced riders needing flotation and surface area. Combined with the relatively full-volume shape and wide outline, the deep center concave with double concave through the tail provide lift and help to carry speed across weaker wave sections and smaller waves. The board offers a medium-high rail volume which allows carving in slower conditions as well as giving stability when paddling for less skilled riders. The nose is not to narrow so it gets up and planing fast, but not to wide so it is still easy to throw around and is catch free up front. Overall, the Planet 9 Wide is a great all rounder for multiple surfing levels and types of riders.

All surfboards are shipped via Air Freight. Processing and delivery times may vary due to the extra handling involved in shipping a surfboard. Most orders are shipped within 4 business days and delivery usually occurs within 7-10 business days after shipping. However, delivery to certain locations may take longer.
The following requirements must be met in order for us to ship a surfboard.
- Billing and shipping address must match that of the cardholder. (We do not ship to alternative addresses.)
- Signature required upon delivery.
Surfboards are extremely fragile and require special handling. For this reason, all Air Freight shipments should be inspected for damage upon delivery and before the shipment is signed for, if damage is noted, you must call 1 888 757 8737 x 1313 within 24 hours. A customer service representative will contact you prior to shipping your order to go over the shipment process.
Warranty Information
Surfboards are of a fragile nature and surf brand boards come with no warranty by the manufacturer or Ron Jon's. Ron Jon brand surfboards have a 90-day conditional warranty, but after that time there is no applicable warranty, either expressed or implied. If this board is in the original condition along with the original receipt, it may be returned. Any board showing signs of use or damage will not be accepted for return or exchange. Upon receipt of your new surfboard immediately inspect the board for damage and report any imperfections within 24 hours.
Please note: We do not ship surfboards Internationally or to Alaska or Hawaii.
Customers who refuse their order will not be refunded the original shipping fee.

It was 1959 and on the New Jersey shore a bright young man named Ron DiMenna was just discovering the sport of surfing with fiberglass surfboards. The pastime soon became a passion and homemade surfboards would no longer do. When his father heard that Ron wanted his own custom surfboard from California, he suggested, "Buy three, sell two at a profit, then yours will be free." His Dad was right and Ron Jon Surf Shop was born.
