Non-Exempt Position
Full Time , Seasonal
To serve guests alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks in knowledgeable, friendly and appropriate fashion. To maintain stock of liquor and bar supplies, and to collect money and account for all drinks served. Be able to take food orders and serve in appropriate fashion. Polished communication skills, a pleasant disposition and be able to work as a contributing member of the team.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Takes and full drink orders from patrons and wait staff. Prepares and serve alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, and soft drinks as requested.
Is familiar with standard drinks and maintains supplies necessary to prepare common cocktails and beverages.
Prepares fruit and other garnishes as required to accompany drinks.
Keeps bar neat and clean, and displays glasses and liquors attractively.
Collects money from patrons and accounts for drinks served.
Asks customers who look underage for proof of majority. Understand all aspects of being Responsible Vendor.
Is responsible for maintaining pleasant atmosphere in bar, refusing to serve drunk or unruly patrons, and having them ejected if necessary.
Knowledge of all mixed drink recipes and is familiar with all types of alcohol served.
Polite, friendly manner in dealing with customers.
Ability to keep calm in dealing with argumentative and unruly patrons.

Major Skills/Physical Requirements:
Ability to work effectively under stressful situations (i.e. dealing with multiple guests who need assistance quickly).
Ability to work well with others to achieve restaurant goals.
Ability to adapt to changing procedures in terms of processing sale transactions and servicing customers.
Ability to listen, ask appropriate questions, and speak clearly and coherently.
Must be able to be stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
Minimum Job Requirements
18 years or older.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Able to commit to a regular schedule.
