Traction pads can be used in place of wax for the back foot on a surfboard. They give you better and more consistent traction especialy during longer sessions. Most styles have raised areas for a better fit and a tail kick so that you can add a little more power to the turns. Tractions pads are not just for surfboards, skimboard riders like them too!
