Shopping FAQ

Q: What payment methods do you accept online?
A: Ron Jon Surf Shop currently accepts the following methods of payment for Internet purchases placed via the web: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal and Gift Cards. To pay by Personal Check, Money Order or Promotional Vouchers call 888 757 8737 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm to talk to a Customer Service Representative and place your order.

Q: Do you ship surfboards?
A: Yes!

All surfboards are shipped via Air Freight. Processsing and delivery times may vary due to the extra handling involved in shipping a surfboard. Most orders are shipped within four business days and delivery usually occurs within 3-5 business days after shipping. However, delivery to certain locations may take longer. Surfboards are extremely fragile and require special handling. For this reason, all Air Freight shipments should be inspected for damage upon delivery before the shipment is signed for, if damage is noted you must call 1 888 757 8737 within 24 hours of delivery, Monday through Friday.

Surfboards are of a fragile nature and surf brand boards come with no warranty by the manufacturer or Ron Jon Surf Shop. Ron Jon brand surfboards have a 90-day conditional warranty, but after that time there is no applicable warranty, either expressed or implied. If this board is in the original condition along with the original receipt, it may be returned. Any board showing signs of use or damage will not be accepted for return or exchange. Upon receipt of your new surfboard immediately inspect the board for damage and report any imperfections within 24 hours. Hawaii and Alaska customers please call to place a surfboard order and receive a shipping quote, thank you.

Q: How do I track my package?
A: Packages being sent UPS ground, second day or next day air can be tracked via the UPS website. Iin the  shipping confirmation email you received you will find the tracking number for your package. Copy this number then go to  www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html to track your package or call 888 757 8737 and a Customer Service representative will be more than happy to assist you.

Q: I bought an item in one of your stores and don't live near by. How do I return it?
A:

Instore Purchases.  Exchanges and returns must take place within 90 days of purchase.

     1.    First, locate your original sales receipt. 

2.    Second, write us a brief note explaining what the problem is with your purchase (wrong color, wrong size, damaged, didn't like) and how you would like us to handle the transaction. You may exchange the item or ask for a refund. If you request a refund and originally paid via credit card please include the necessary information in order for us to process the refund back onto your card.

3.    On that same note, be sure to include a contact name, daytime phone number, and where you would like the refund confirmation or exchange item delivered. If requesting an exchange a $5.00 check or money order for processing fees should be included with your exchange request.

4.    Finally, mail the product, a copy of the sales receipt and a note to the following address that corresponds to the store in which the purchase was made. To see a list of stores and their address information click here.

Q: How do I become a link on the Ron Jon site or link the Ron Jon site to my site?
A: Ron Jon Surf Shop's policy regarding links from this site requires that a letter of request be submitted to Ron Jon's Internet Services department at webmaster@ronjons.com or faxed to (321) 799-8882. Ron Jon will evaluate each site based on its merits and according to a set of image standards which are associated with our brand and expected by our customers. You will then receive an e-mail only if we approve your request for a link.

Q: Is Cocoa Beach the original location?
A: Contrary to popular belief, our Cocoa Beach location is not the original Ron Jon location. Actually, Ron Jon Surf Shop started back in 1959 in the small beach side community of Ship Bottom, New Jersey located on Long Beach Island. Ron Jon Surf Shop "The Original” has evolved from a tiny storefront to the beautiful 4-level surfer’s dream store that it is today.

A: No, all buying for Ron Jon Surf Shop locations is executed from the Ron Jon corporate offices located in Cocoa Beach, Florida. All related inquires should be directed to the Ron Jon Merchandise Buying department.

Q: Does Ron Jon offer store franchises or licensing?
A: Currently, Ron Jon Surf Shop does not offer franchises of any kind because we prefer to own and operate our own facilities. As for licensing, Ron Jon has granted a limited number of licenses to unique companies or operators that meet Ron Jon's high standards.
